Midway’s Case Tumbler Kit
Posted by Junior Shooters
Everyone needs a nice, easy way to clean brass and separate the brass from the cleaning media. Cleaning brass can even be fun if it is easy and doesn?t take up too much time. Now, if you aren’t a reloader, or are new to reloading, you might ask why do I need to clean brass? Cleaning the brass gets any remaining powder out of the case, helps smooth out any burrs at the case mouth, and makes sure the inside and outside of the case are clean prior to putting it into the reloading die. This ensures that both the brass and reloading dies last longer for more reloads. Naturally, it makes the brass smooth and shiny just as if it was brand new.
Midway recently sent us their Case Tumbler Kit from Frankford Arsenal. This is a great set up! The kit contains the five primary items you need to clean brass quickly and efficiently:
-
Case tumbler
-
Rotary separator
-
3.5 Gallon Bucket
-
Corn media
-
Brass Polish
I decided to have Hayden, 14-years old, and one of our regular gun and product testers for Junior Shooters put it together and test it out. Within 20 minutes it was all put together. He cranked the handle on the media separator, the tumbler was powered up and we were ready to go.
The one bottle of brass polish and the corn cleaning media provided with the kit will last quite a while as only thee teaspoons of brass polish are used for untreated media and only one teaspoon for media previously used. I use the same media over and over. Make sure you leave plenty of room for both the media and brass to move around in the tumbler.
The Frankford Arsenal Tumbler Kit from Midway USA is a great value for the price at $73.99. I certainly recommend it. Midway reloading equipment can be found by clicking here: MIDWAY USA RELOADING EQUIPMENT
