Browning, competing with an invite-only crowd-the best in the world-finished sixth overall with 84/100 targets.
(Browning takes aim during the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Shotgun in Tucson, Ariz.)Headed into the final, Browning was tied for sixth with Italy’s Giulia Iannotti at 67/75 targets. Jessica Rossi of Italy was second with 92 and Jana Beckmann of Germany won the bronze with 91 targets.
Browning’s teammate, 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Corey Cogdell (Eagle River, Alaska) was tenth overall with 64/75 targets. Cogdell started strong with 22/25 targets, but had trouble with the second round shooting 19 targets.
